Dubai Creek
Dubai creek is a water body extendsfrom arabian gulf and divide Dubai into two parts - Bu Dubai and Deira Dubai. A taxi service 'Abra' with small wodden boats is availbale for cossing the creek between Deira Dubai and Bur Dubai. A tour of Dubai creek with small wodden boats-'Dhows' is a main attraction for Dubai tourists. Most of the landmarks in Dubai can be seen from this water way.
The creek is 14 km long and has played and important role in economic development of Dubai.Only wooden ships are allowed to enter the creek to keep its tradition. Ships from Gulf contries, Iran and Indian subcontinent are anchored here to tranfer goods for local market and re-export. Dubai is extending the creek and constructing more than 200 sky scrappers to attract commercial and residential development named'Business Bay'
