Dubai Internet City
The Dubai Internet City (DIC) opened its doors in October 2000. although the DIC has been named ‘Internet’, it is a free zone that has been specifically designed as a center for all communications and information technology companies. The original DIC plan was to focus primarily on the real estate; however, it soon witnessed a sudden shift to a one-stop, innovative approach.
The Dubai Internet City not only provides its clients with organization space, but also handles their travel bookings, incorporations, work permits, visas, etc. To furthermore support its clients, the DIC has launched a high-tech telecommunications company which was the first in the series of industries that had been set up by DIC to serve its customers and then offshoot as independent entities.
