Dubai Shopping Festival
The Global Village is located in Dubailand. It is one of the highlights where you get to greet the world all under the same roof. Pavilions from around 60 countries offer a taste of myriad flavours from traditional cuisine to jewelry, carpets, pottery and artifacts. Look out for the Turkish eye or a Czech crystal, a rare Afghani carpet or a Tanzanian wooden statues you can take back from the Global Village a special memento that you will treasure life-long.
The Global Village has seen a great success since it has been launched in 1996 and through out the following years, establishing a unique tourist destination that is sought by visitors from all over the world. According to the statistics, which have shown an outstanding increase in the numbers of visitors and countries participating with special sets of pavilions on the location, the village is still by far the most exotic attraction of the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF).
